The Lord's Prayer/ The Disciple's Prayer:  Prayer Model
“Our Father in Heaven”
Prayer begins with relationship. We do not come to God as slaves trying to earn favor, but as children approaching a loving Father.
Romans 8:15
We cry, “Abba, Father.” Prayer is an expression of relationship.
“Hallowed Be Your Name”
To hallow means to set apart as holy. God’s name represents His character. In prayer, we worship God for who He is.
Proverbs 18:10
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower.”
“Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done”
Prayer aligns our hearts with God’s agenda. We pray for His Kingdom to be revealed on earth as it is in heaven—in the world, the church, and our own lives.
“Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread”
This prayer expresses daily dependence on God. Just as God provided manna in the wilderness, He invites us to trust Him for everything we need today.
Psalm 121:1–2
Our help comes from the Lord.
“Forgive Us Our Debts”
Jesus assumes a life of continual repentance. Confession agrees with God about where we fall short and opens the door to forgiveness and cleansing.
1 John 1:9
“As We Forgive Our Debtors”
Receiving God’s forgiveness prepares our hearts to forgive others. We do not ask for mercy while withholding it from those who have wronged us.
“Deliver Us From Evil”
Prayer includes spiritual warfare. We stand against the enemy from a place of victory through Jesus, resisting lies and walking in God’s truth.
Ephesians 6:12
James 4:7

Current Sermon Series

Pray First is a 21-day journey of putting God first and building our lives on prayer. This series invites us to examine our priorities and align our lives around seeking God before everything else. Together, we’ll explore practical models of prayer, learn how to draw near to God’s presence, discover how to pray through pain and adversity, and develop habits that help us keep praying in every season. As we intentionally seek God, we believe He meets us with blessing, guidance, protection, and transformation that shapes every part of our lives.
